Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. I Timothy 4:12.
We believe at FUMC that the youth in our church are a vital part of our church family. Our youth serve the church and community in different ways. Our youth serve communion, serve as ushers, and perform the Sunday worship service on 5th Sundays. They also volunteer to help Reelfoot Rural Ministries, Soul Food Café, Lakeshore 30 Hour Famine, helping in our church nursery and at Wednesday Night Together by working in the kitchen or mentoring younger children. In the midst of all of this we attend youth conferences, youth retreats, mission trips, play games, eat and fellowship with one another. We study the Word of God and apply what we learn to our daily lives.
