Our group is called Emerge.  There's a lot of meaning behind the name.  Our goal is to help the youth of our area enter into a more full relationship with Christ and to give them a place to shine and grow in their unique gifts God has given them.  In all areas of their lives, we hope they will Emerge from obscurity, fear, confusion, and loneliness into a new life of relationship with Christ that is bold, courageous, educated, and equipped for success.  To that end, we try to stay away from "casual social networking" and instead focus on things that will really make a difference in teens' lives, such as ministry, missions, and a mind of Christ.  We hope to do the most good for our community, not to be the biggest group within it.  This is our calling.

 

We meet on Wednesday nights at 6:10 PM in the youth room, which is up the stairs near the gym in the FLC.  There we enjoy our time together through contemporary worship and relevant lessons aimed directly at the hearts and lives of teens.
