Go-Go Adult Ministry

The Senior Adults of FUMC are offered many activities and ministries within the life of the church.  On a normal week, seniors can find themselves in a Sunday school class, a Friday morning Bible study, preparing shut in lunches on Wednesday morning, having class at Wednesday Night Together, choir practice, or volunteering in the church office.
Monthly activities include Go-Go trips to interesting places, Game day activities, luncheons, and other special events.  Seniors also volunteer to help with Sing-A-Longs at nursing homes, serve shut-in communion, teach Sunday school at Magnolia Assisted Living Home, and do mission work with Reelfoot Rural Ministries.   Many seniors  enjoy time spent with United Methodist Women, the annual Walk of Hope church team, providing meals, Apple Pie Brigade, Order of the Flame.  Community impact projects include the Feeding of the 5000, Lifeline Blood Mobile, and Holy Week Services.
If you "think" you are a senior, then you probably are.  We want to welcome you to be a "Go-Go" and to participate in any or all of our ministries, activities, or events at FUMC Union City.  God has been good to us!
